Thank you for the comment and the facebook post! :) Yes I noticed, he’s tweeting about Hong Kong… I’m hoping I get a chance to go to Beijing for work soon (fingers crossed), which would, now that you mention it, really benefit from a short stop in Hong Kong :D

I would like your help, I’m working in a company that are loosing money like the others in the world and I have to increase the salarys next year…give me something to laugh about please… What can I say to the employees? most of them are making a good job but there is no way to give them an increase.
    I’m trying you!

Hmmm, I don’t really have anything funny to say. I don’t think anyone should be expecting a raise in salary this/next year — most people I’ve spoken to have taken a step down (job at 80% time and/or money, taking jobs that pay less well, jobs using skills they don’t normally use, or the best case scenario is same job but no raise).

So I’d say, just be honest, acknowledge that the company’s losing money; they should then understand the situation. Because at the end of the day, they’re part of a company that’s losing money, and they chose to join and stay there.

Jason, Congratulations on this amazing new site and series. Your comics are well drawn, creative and could not be more timely. I am looking forward to following your series.

About this site

There’s a lot of hype around the recession, often in all the wrong places. With this strip, I hope to burst some of those bubbles and help us laugh at ourselves a little bit.

If you want to know more about who's behind this, have a look at my slightly-outdated website.

Tell us your story

I get most of my inspiration from real life, so chances are, if you send me a story or observation about the recession, I can turn it into a comic strip.

No promises though :)
